Hello - was linked to your blog from a fraternity brother of yours with whom I went to grad school. Anyway, the first picture reminds me of a passage from "Emergency Sex and Other Desperate Measures" (a memoir of three friends' experiences as UN peace keepers; I highly recommend it) - I've lost track of which genocide in which country, but one of the guys is documenting a mass grave, and he takes one step, and then finds himself pivoting in a circle because he can't find anywhere to put his other foot that isn't on human bones.
